In 2005, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of railway signal control equipment asked us to go beyond the supply of a machine capable of satisfying the thermal gradient and temperature range requirements, with the goal of obtaining an integrated system capable of automating tests. The result was a “custom” ESS TC 2600. 

The ESS TC 2600 Platform is a cutting-edge product designed for testing the reliability, durability and performance of custom electronic devices and modules by exposing them to extreme environmental conditions.  

This solution is ideal for laboratories and production lines requiring high throughput and precision in reliability testing. 

High-Capacity Thermal Platform
  • 2600-liter thermal chamber designed for a wide range of thermal cycling and stress tests 
  • “General purpose” connection interface platform able to connect all the DUTs 
Pneumatic Automation
  • Automatic insertion and extraction of units under test (UUT) via a pneumatic rack system, significantly enhancing testing efficiency 
Customizable Test Electronics cabinet (Simulator Rack) included with the system
  • Integration with various product lines and adaptable testing parameters for different device types 
  • Possibility to use it both with the EDA VBTS-M test platform, both with the customer’s proprietary electronics 
Precise environmental control

  • Operating ambient in terms of humidity: from 30% to 60 %

  • Average Gradient Ramp up, from – 25 °C to 75 °C: 5 °C/min, with a maximum load of 200 kg compact aluminum and 800W resistive load
  • Average Gradient Ramp down, from 75 °C to -25 °C: – 5 °C/min, with a maximum load of 200 kg compact aluminum and 800W resistive load
  • Condensation: Water

Regardless the type of test to be performed, the ESS Thermal Cycler 2600 Software Test Environment provides the complete set of tools for Test development (SW Development package), Production execution and Reporting (SW Execution package).
