Together with co-creation, we really believe in co-design, being convinced that R&D Concept and Design optimization is the key to balance performance, cost requirement, manufacturing capability and time to market.
At the same time, we have always invested in co-production and customization, supporting clients’ innovation processes and providing solutions to requests for new materials, equipment and services.
Because of the great importance of innovation for EDA, in 2021 we opened a new plant in Terni, completely focused on R&D and aimed to quickly respond to the continuous challenges in the semiconductor market.
Main activities
- Design and development of innovative and automated Burn-in and Reliability Equipment for Wafer and Package Level environments
- Design of high power and high current density boards
- Creation of the 2D or 3D model of the PCB (physical layout) for the development of high-power or integrated analog and digital boards
- Firmware development: device polarisation configurations, sampling and management of measurements on the device, protection and exclusion of failed devices, test flow management
- Development and management of highly innovative Software and Data Analysis Tools to be embedded in our Wafer and Package Level solutions
- Creation of graphical interfaces for desktop applications in Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation, including UI/UX study for a better user experience
- Generation of communication protocols with string or binary messages, transported over TCP/IP or GPIB
- Development of test programs in Python Language
- Predictive Maintenance of new EDA equipment and Anomaly Detection of systems and devices
- Correlation analysis between stress parameters and device failure mechanisms, classification of devices based on their behavior
- Verification of new EDA equipment, both for hydraulic and thermodynamic issues, both for the control of automation functions
- Machine Learning analysis, with models evaluation and optimization
