Our Sustainability Report 2023 is now available online. This annual document outlines our sustainability strategy, programs and performance during 2022 and focuses on 3 material topics that are aligned with our business priorities: People First, Sustainable Business and Environment Protection.

For each material topic we defined plans and goals, considered EDA sustainability context and stakeholders' concerns.

Last Friday, June 23, at the Abbey of San Pastore, EDA Industries, a Rieti-based company that is a world leader in the production of equipment for burn-in and test of semiconductors, celebrated its 30-year milestone during a celebratory event, which has involved EDA employees, authorities, customers and stakeholders. A great satisfaction for the company founded in 1993 by Fortunato Palella, which, after expanding in 1998 to Singapore, has over the years opened new offices not only in Terni and Catania, but also in the Philippines, Malaysia, China and Morocco.

During the initiative, EDA Industries reviewed its major successes and investments, highlighting the value of its employees and growth goals for the future. "We strongly believe that the true strength of EDA Industries is our People - said President Fortunato Palella and CEO Christina Allarces during the celebration - We will continue to put our human resources and their needs at the center, while investing in technological innovation and in the electric vehicle market. In recent years we have been crossed the boundaries of Burn-in and now we want to consolidate ourselves as a leading company for testing solutions for new SiC and GaN technologies. Already by 2023, we expect growth in turnover, which, over time, will be supported with significant investments in plants, personnel and above all research."

Many emotions last June 23 in the beautiful Abbey of San Pastore, where we celebrated our 30th anniversary together with employees, authorities, customers and stakeholders. During the event, we reviewed the company's history and activities, looking optimistically to the future and the challenges we will face.

Thanks to the support of MIDA (Malaysian Investment Development Authority), EDA Malaysia has completed the purchase of a new plant in Jasin-Melaka.

This big project has been activated to improve production capability of Burn-In chambers, to better support the significant Automotive market demand for test equipment and, in particular, the growing segment of electric vehicles. The impressive demand for equipment that EDA is currently registering is the result of the considerable investments that EDA has made in the previous years on the new SiC and GaN technologies.

The new plant of about 5.000 m2 will be used also to set Reliability and Burn-in Service support, but this project includes at the same time the establishment of an R&D Center, mainly focused on electric vehicles market, and the increase of local manpower.

We sincerely thank MIDA and local Government Authorities for the valuable cooperation on this important project. EDA will continue to work together in the future to ensure additional investment and a significative presence in Malaysia.

Founded in 1993 in Rieti, EDA Industries expanded to Singapore in 1998, opening new offices over the years in both Terni and Catania, as well as in the Philippines, Malaysia, China and Morocco. Over time, the company has installed more than 500 equipment worldwide, providing a complete solution for performing burn-in and reliability testing. In 2022, turnover was 36.8 million euros, while employees exceeded 160.
